The grand levitation (Live reunion London 2007)

I always wanted to see Led Zeppelin once in a lifetime, so when I heard they would reform with Jason for one more time to pay tribute to Ahmet Ertegun I thought it might be worth a try getting there.
Of course some million other people wanted to go there as well, and it took me two sixpacks of beer just to enter the site to get in the lottery to get tickets.....to no avail, I never got em that way.
Since I hate giving up I entered a Myspace contest to win tickets, the only thing someone needed to do was to describe ones greatest Zeppelin moment. I copied and pasted a link to a video of me and some guys playing Whole Lotta Love and Rock and Roll which we filmed some time earlier at an impromptu gig. in fact I never expected to hear anything ever from myspace when five days before the reunion some guy phoned me and asked me what I was about to do on the date of the Zeppelin gig. First I thought someone was trying to pull a joke on me but, I almost put down the phone actually......good that I didn't do that. My entry was selected as the contest winner, and I was also going to attend their rehearsal one day before the real gig. Hotel and flight: paid by Led Zeppelin.
The days that followed were the biggest rush anyone could ever imagine, just beeing there with so many kindred-minded people from all over the planet was a devastating experience.
The 3-record set "The grand levitation" still levitates me everytime I put that vinyl on my record player, especially Kashmir is mesmerizing.
That's why i did choose this record to be my favorite.
(As far as to official albums, Physical Graffiti is my fav. due to the many moodswings it covers)
